  • Thanks for the lengthy detail of economic regulations. That is the reason that businesses are banking the money and not hiring. The discussion needs to change from the nations debt to how businesses grow revenue.

  • I agree with much of what you say. But the truth is that John McCain was not the best candidate at the time. And we did have many failed Bush policies due to the expense of the war and "W"s unwillingness to veto any expense bill. But now it is time to get it back on track.

  • The next election will bring more intense debate. Common sense versus failed policy. Liberals (a good part of the population not paying taxes) versus conservatives. Christians versus non-Christains. Either way, you will have your political freedoms, and freedom of speech.

  • I believe that Obama will do well with his political counter-offensive. Campaigning has been the only effective thing he has done for the last 3 years. It certainly has not been leadership. And I voted for him the last time.

  •  Does anyone have more insight into the "credit default swaps" that the US banks may have participated in? Does this seem wise considering the last couple of years where taxpayers had to bail out the banks? Does this gamble make sense?
